Senior Land Use Policy Adviser, The Country Land and Business Association (CLA)

Graham has been with the Country Land & Business Association since 2008 and leads on forestry and energy policy. Starting his career in the early 1990’s with ADAS, he was with them for ten years doing a variety of environmental work and advice to landowners. After joining Defra’s Rural Development Service in 2001, where he appraised rural grant scheme proposals and advised funding panels, he qualified as a Chartered Rural Surveyor in 2007. After a spell with South West Regional Development Agency, he joined CLA as Regional Surveyor in the South West, advising members on a full range of land management issues and where he also Chaired the West of England Rural Development LEADER grant programme from 2016 until 2019. He took up the national forestry and energy role for the CLA Land Use team in 2020.
