Paul Munday
Paul is the Grid Connection Manager for Ethical Power’s development division. He has worked in the Electricity Networks Industry for 10 years, including 8 years with a Distribution Network Operator in the new connections team working on the connection offer process and the Transmission and Distribution interface. He has previously been a member of industry working groups including Distributed Energy Resources Connections Steering Panel and a Connections Use of System Code Modification Workgroup. As a grid connections specialist at Ethical Power, Paul is involved in projects from the very beginning to the end, assisting in site searching processes and solving grid challenges.

About this session:
This case study will look at a co-located Solar PV and Battery Storage project in Scotland being developed, built, and connected by Ethical Power. As the project nears completion this presentation will describe the typical elements of a development of this type along with some of the complexities. The presentation will provide an overview of all aspects of the grid connection, explaining some of the basic, but sometimes overlooked, processes and will share thoughts on how to fully optimise a co-located project.
