Farmer, Risbury Court

With 250 acres around the ramparts of the iron-age hillfort of Risbury Camp is a traditional Herefordshire mixed farm of hops, cider fruit, cereals, sheep and pedigree Hereford cattle. Having been farmed since 1843, this picturesque spot has been in the same family for decades. The farm is now run by Richard Thomas and his father, a fifth-generation farmer who is somewhat of a maverick in his regenerative approach to agriculture.
